This paper deals with the well-posedness of a nonlinear parabolic PDE in a bounded domain coupled with a dynamic boundary condition of reaction-diffusion type. The model considered in this paper extends the classical Wentzell boundary condition and describes various phenomena in mathematical physics, reaction-diffusion processes, phase-transitions, and image restoration with observation on the boundary. The main result of the paper is the proof of the existence and uniqueness of a strong solution which is obtained as the limit of a finite difference scheme, in the time-dependent case. The authors prove first the stability of the finite difference scheme and then the existence of a weak solution is obtained as the strong limit of the \(h\)-discretized solution, where \(h\) is the time step. In the time-invariant case, the authors use a semigroup approach.
