Let \(C\) be a smooth projective curve over the number field \(L\) and \(B\) a curve defined over \(K,\) where \(K\subset L.\) Suppose that there exists a nonconstant \(L\)-morphism \(h: C\rightarrow B_L.\) Denote by \(C_h\) the curve defined over \(K\) whose \(K\)-rational points parametrize the \(L\)-rational points on \(C\) whose images under the morphism \(h\) are defined over \(K.\) In this paper, the authors deal with the applicability of Chabauty's method to determine rational points on the curve \(C_h\).
