In this paper the authors consider two models describing the self-propelled motion of a so-called small bio-mimetric swimmer in the 2-\(D\) and 3-\(D\) incompressible fluids governed by the Navier-Stokes equations. One supposes in the sequel that the swimmers' body consists of finitely many subsequently connected parts, linked by the rotational and elastic forces. The swimmer allows the change of its shape. One of the authors (a namely Khapalov, A.) has investigated similar models in former time (cf. 5 papers of him). In his previous research the fluid was modeled by the linear nonstationary Stokes equations. Models as in the presented study are important and useful in such biological and engineering applications which are concerned with the study and design of propulsion systems in fluid and air. The paper is selfcontained and includes a lot of preliminary material. The main result is the proof that the 2-\(D\) and 3-\(D\) models are well-posed.
