\textit{C. Berg} et al. [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 116, No. 8, 1344--1360 (2009; Zbl 1183.05089)] gave several interpretations of the bijection between \(n\)-cores with first part equal to \(k\) and \((n-1)\) cores with first part less than or equal to \(k\) presented in [\textit{C. Berg} and \textit{M. Vazirani}, Electron. J. Comb. 15, No. 1, Research Paper R130, 23 p. (2008; Zbl 1180.05123)]. In this paper, the authors give a generalization of the results by Berg et al. [loc. cit.] to the case of Lie type C. They analyze the bijection for Lie type C in the language of various combinatorial models such as abaci, core partitions, alcove walks and canonical reduced expressions in the Coxeter group.
