Spaceability and operator ideals (Q491871): Difference between revisions

In this paper, the authors make a study of the spaceability on the non-empty operator set $I_{1}(E,F)\backslash I_{2}(E,F)$ in $I_{1}(E,F)$, where $I_{1}, $ $I_{1}$ are operator ideals in the sense of Pietsch and $E,F$ are Banach spaces. They find some consequences considering the closed operator ideals of compact operators, strictly singular operators, finitely strictly singular operators and strictly co-singular operators (with the usual operator norm). Finally, an application of this study to the Schatten operator classes is given.
