    The author treats a boundary value problem for coupled singular (in the sense that the right-hand sides of the DEs are Carathéodory functions) differential equations on the real line with impulses at fixed times: \[ \begin{aligned} &[\Phi_p(\rho(t) x'(t))]' = f(t,x(t),y(t)) \quad \text{for a.e. }t \in \mathbb{R},\\ &[\Phi_q(\varrho(t) y'(t))]' = g(t,x(t),y(t)) \quad \text{for a.e. }t \in \mathbb{R},\\ &x(\infty) = x(-\infty) = y(\infty) = y(-\infty) = 0,\\ &\triangle x(t_k) = I_k(t_k,x(t_k),y(t_k)), \quad k \in \mathbb{Z},\\ &\triangle y(t_k) = J_k(t_k,x(t_k),y(t_k)), \quad k \in \mathbb{Z}, \end{aligned} \] where \(\rho,\varrho : \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}\) are continuous and positive functions, \(\Phi_p\) and \(\Phi_q\) are Laplace operators, \(f,g\) satisfy Carathéodory conditions on \(\mathbb{R}^3\), \(I_k,J_k : \mathbb{R}^3 \to \mathbb{R}\) are Carathéodory sequences (i.e., for each \(k \in \mathbb{Z}\) the mapping \((u,v)\mapsto I_k(t_k,u,v)\) is continuous and for each \(r > 0\) there exist \(\psi_{k,r} \geq 0\) such that \(\sum_{k \in \mathbb{Z}} \phi_{k,r} < \infty\) and \(|I_k(t_k,u,v)| \leq \phi_{k,r}\) for all \(|u|,|v| \leq r\), \(k \in \mathbb{Z}\); the same is assumed also for \(J_k\) in place of \(I_k\)), \(t_k < t_{k+1}\) for \(k \in \mathbb{Z}\) such that \(\lim_{k\to\pm\infty} t_k = \pm\infty\). Sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution to the boundary value problem are obtained. To this goal, the Schauder fixed point theorem is used.
