In the first half of this paper, some questions involving continuous functions in generalized topological spaces (GTSs) and generalized metric spaces (GMSs) are discussed; here, the basic concepts are those of \textit{cliquish function}, \textit{Blumberg set} and \textit{Baire space}. The second half of the paper is devoted to quasi-continuous and Darboux functions. Precisely, the following synthetic result holds. Letting \(f:([0,1],\pi)\to ([0,1],\pi)\) be a function, we consider the conditions {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize} \item[(i)] \(f\) is transitive \item [(ii)] \(f\) is perfectly transitive \item [(iii)] \(f\) is a nomadic function \item [(iv)] \(f\) is Devaney chaotic. \end{itemize}} {Theorem.} The following conclusions hold: (K1) If \(f\) is quasi-continuous Darboux, then (i), (ii) and (iii) are equivalent (K2) If \(f\) belongs to the class \({\mathcal D}B_\omega^\pi\), then (i), (ii) and (iv) are equivalent. Finally, some other aspects of these problems related to the theory of one-dimensional dynamical systems are considered.
