A set \(M\) in a Banach space \((X,\|\,\|)\) is called antiproximinal if no element \(x\in X\backslash M\) has a closest element. It is called \(n\)-antiproximinal with respect to the \(1\) norm if no set of \(n\) elements \(E=\{x_1,\dots,x_n\}\subset X\backslash M\) has a closest element \(y\in M\) with respect to the distance: \[ d(E,y)=\sum\limits^n_{i=1}\| x_i-y\|. \] This concept has been studied by many authors for the case of proximinality, e.g., [\textit{F. B. Saidi} et al., J. Approx. Theory 116, No. 2, 369--379 (2002; Zbl 1016.41013)]. The author of the present paper studies \(n\)-antiproximinality with respect to the \(1\)-norm in some specific Banach spaces. The results are correct in statements and proofs.
