The Gromov width \(c_G(M,\omega)\) of a \(2n\)-dimensional symplectic manifold \((M,\omega)\) is the supremum of the set of areas of all possible \(2n\)-dimensional real balls which can be symplectically embedded in \((M,\omega)\). According to Darboux's theorem \(c_G(M,\omega)>0\). Recently, \textit{K. Kaveh} [``Toric degenerations and Gromov width of smooth projective varieties'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1508.00316}] proved that \(c_G(X,\omega_{FS})\geq 1\) for any smooth complex projective variety \(X\) embedded in a complex projective space \(\mathbb CP^N\), being \(\omega_{FS}\) the restriction of the Fubini-Study Kähler form to \(X\). The goal of this paper is to show that \(c_G(M,\omega)=\pi\) for compact homogeneous Kähler manifolds \((M,\omega)\) with second Betti number equal to 1 and \(\omega\) is normalized with respect to the generator of the integral second homology group of \(M\). The proof includes an injective immersion \(k\) of \(M\) into \(\mathbb CP^N\) so that \((M,\omega/\pi)\) is symplectomorphic to \((k(M), \omega_{FS})\) and use previous results.
