The joint torsion \(\tau(A,B)\) of Fredholm operators \(A\) and \(B\) which commute modulo trace class operators was introduced in [\textit{R. Carey} and \textit{J. Pincus}, Integral Equations Oper. Theory 35, No. 3, 271--365 (1999; Zbl 0941.47009)]. It is a determinant-type invariant. In the paper under review joint torsion of various transformations (e.g. perturbations, functions \(f(A), f(B)\) for suitable functions) of some \(A\), \(B\) was investigated and new results were obtained.
