Let \(X\) be a smooth, irreducible, projective curve over \(\text{Spec}(\mathbb{F})\), where \(\mathbb{F}\) is either the field of complex numbers \(\mathbb{C}\), or an algebraic closure \(\mathbb{F}=\overline{\mathbb{F}_q}\) of the field \(\mathbb{F}_q\). Let \(M^s(n,d)\) denotes the moduli space of stable vector bundles of rank \(n\) and degree \(d\) on \(X\). In [\textit{M. S. Narasimhan} and \textit{S. Ramanan}, Stud. Math. 8, 291--345 (1978; Zbl 0427.14002)], the authors introduce a stronger stability condition, \((k,l)\)-stability, for any two integers \(k\) and \(l\). The authors prove the openness of \((k,l)\)-stable bundles, when it exists, in \(M^s(n,d)\), and also derived conditions for special values of \(k\) and \(l\) so that \((k,l)\)-stable bundle exists on \(X\). In this article, the authors consider the general moduli problem of \((k,l)\)-stable bundles of rank \(n\) and degree \(d\) on \(X\). A general condition for the existence of \((k,l)\)-stable bundles was given, and it was shown that if for any two integers \(k\) and \(l\), the conditions: \(0 \leq k(n-1) + l < (n-1)(g-1)\) and \(0 \leq k + l(n-1) < (n-1)(g-1)\) are satisfied, then the coarse moduli space \(M^{k,l}(n,d)\) of \((k,l)\)-stable bundles of rank \(n\) and degree \(d\) exists as an open subscheme of \(M^s(n,d)\). The authors also introduce the moduli stack \(\mathfrak{B}un_X^{k,l}(n,d)\) of \((k,l)\)-stable bundles of rank \(n\) and degree \(d\) on \(X\). This is an Artin stack, which is locally of finite type and has an open embedding in the moduli stack \(\mathfrak{B}un_X(n,d)\) of stable bundles of rank \(n\) and degree \(d\) on \(X\). This also give filtration of \(\mathfrak{B}un_X(n,d)\) in terms of open substacks \(\mathfrak{B}un_X^{k,l}(n,d)\). Furthermore, authors study the \(\ell\)-adic cohomology of \(\mathfrak{B}un_X(2,d)\) and show that \(H^i(\mathfrak{B}un_X(2,d),\overline{\mathbb{Q}_{\ell}})\) can be obtained as a certain inverse limit from \(H^i(\mathfrak{B}un_X^{k,l}(2,d),\overline{\mathbb{Q}_{\ell}})\). A general Hecke correspondence as a birational map between the Grassmannian bundles associated to the universal bundles over appropriate moduli stacks of \((k,l)\)-stable bundles are given.
