In this paper, the authors consider a \(S\)-shaped bifurcation curve of the nonlocal boundary value problem \[ \begin{cases} u''+\lambda f(u)=0,\quad t\in(0,1),\\ u(0)=0,\quad u(1)=\alpha u(\eta).\end{cases} \] The tools used in this paper come from bifurcation theory, particularly the Crandall-Rabinowitz bifurcation theorem, the Implicit Function Theorem and the persistence results of degenerate solutions. The main results of this paper partially extend some existing results to the nonlocal boundary value problem.
