Finite type invariants of w-knotted objects. II: Tangles, foams and the Kashiwara-Vergne problem (Q522640): Difference between revisions

Continuing their series of papers on w-knots, the authors find ``a homomorphic universal finite type invariant of w-foams'' that is essentially the same as a solution of the Kashiwara-Vergne conjecture [\textit{M. Kashiwara} and \textit{M. Vergne}, Invent. Math. 47, 249--272 (1978; Zbl 0404.22012)], re-interpreting more recent work of \textit{A. Alekseev} and \textit{C. Torossian} [Ann. Math. (2) 175, No. 2, 415--463 (2012; Zbl 1243.22009)] on Drinfel'd associators.
