In his article [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 44, No. 2, 507--543 (2008; Zbl 1149.14029)] the author proved that \((X,0)\) is a rational singularity if and only if the reduced lattice cohomology of its link \(M\) satisfies \(\mathbb{H}^0_{\mathrm{red}} (M)=0\). He formulated the following conjecture: The Heegaard Floer homology and the lattice cohomology of \(M\) are isomorphic up to shifted degrees. The conjecture predicts that \(M\) is an \(L\)-space if and only if \(\mathbb{H}^\ast_{\mathrm{red}}(M)=0\). The following is proved in the paper: The link of a complex normal surface singularity is an \(L\)-space if and only if the singularity is rational. Using a result of \textit{J. Hanselman} et al. [``Taut foliations on graph manifolds'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1508.0591}] it is proved that a singularity link is not rational if and only if its fundamental group is left-orderable if and only if it admits a coorientable taut foliation.
