The authors consider perturbed random dynamical systems generated by a class of two-dimensional maps with strong expansion on large sunsets of their phase spaces. The main result states that these maps possess positive Lyapunov exponents commensurate with the amount of expansion in the system. One of the results also shows that the initial conditions converge exponentially fast to the stationary state, which is equivalent to the statement that time correlations decay exponentially fast.
