This paper looks at two different traditions of Euclid's \textit{Elements}: one from Arabic manuscripts and one from Latin versions. The attempt of this paper is to recognize structural and formulation differences in Book I. The author discusses how there are multiple Arabic translations of various traditions, namely Ishāq/Thābit and Hajjāj, and how they are detailed in relation to each other, and to those in Latin and Hebrew which are based on the Hajjāj-tradition. The author details his methodology and reasoning behind undertaking this task, and concludes that the structural differences initially observed were, in fact, not arbitrary. Rather, they could be classified and categorized into certain types, which the author details. For example, certain translations were abbreviated or had a brevity that others did not. In addition, various proofs are examined and their differences highlighted.
