Let \(R = K[x_1,\dots,x_n]\) be the polynomial ring in \(n\) variables over a field of characteristic zero and let \(R_d\) be the homogeneous space of degree \(d\). For \(F\in R_d\), let \(A = A(F)\) be the graded Artinian Gorenstein algebra associated with \(F\). It is a long standing problem to characterize forms \(F\in R_d\) for which the associated Artinian Gorenstein algebras \(A(F)\) are complete intersections. When \(A(F) = R/I\) is a graded complete intersection with quadratic generators for the defining ideal \(I = \mathrm{Ann}_R(F)\), then the degree of \(F\) is \(n\). In the paper under review the authors give necessary and sufficient conditions on a form \(F\) for \(A(F) = R/I\) to be a complete intersection. They also discuss the relation of Macaulay dual generators for two Artinian Gorenstein algebras \(A\) and \(B\), with \(A \supset B\), when the two algebras have the same socle degree.
