Modified Newton-MDPMHSS method for solving nonlinear systems with block two-by-two complex symmetric Jacobian matrices (Q1717569): Difference between revisions

Based on the double preconditioned modified Hermitian and skew-Hermitian (HSS) iteration method (DPMHSS) proposed by \textit{J. Wang} et al. [ibid. 77, No. 1, 167--184 (2018; Zbl 1382.65146)], in this paper, the authors consider a modified double parameter (MDPMHSS) method for solving large sparse nonlinear systems of equations with block two-by-two complex symmetric Jacobian matrices. Employing the method as the linear iteration and the modified Newton method as the outer iteration, the authors consider the modified Newton (MDPMHSS) procedure for a class of nonlinear systems with block two-by-two complex Jacobian matrices. For some conditions the local convergence theorem is given. Numerical results are reported to verify the efficiency of the proposed method.
