The article considers a planar polynomial cubic switching system with central symmetry about the origin. The singular points $(-1, 0)$ and $(1,0)$ are the foci of the system. Transferring one of the foci to the origin and reducing the resulting system to the canonical form with respect to the linear parts, the authors calculate the first 8 Lyapunov constants and find conditions on the coefficients of the system under which these constants vanish. It is shown that under these conditions the 9th Lyapunov constant is not equal to zero. Next, the Jacobian of the first 8 Lyapunov constants is calculated. Since it is not equal to zero, there are 9 limit cycles of small amplitude, bifurcating from the first focus of the system. Due to symmetry, there are 9 limit cycles bifurcating from the second focus. The reviewer should note that although the result is correct, there are misprints in the article. These typos interfere with the correct analysis of the results.
