The authors consider regularity properties of weak solutions to the elliptic system \(\Delta \mathbf{u} = \lambda_+(x) |\mathbf{u}^+|^{q-1} \mathbf{u}^+ - \lambda_-(x) |\mathbf{u}^-|^{q-1} \mathbf{u}^-\) in a unit ball \(B_1 \subset \mathbb{R}^n\), where the functions \(\lambda_\pm\) are strictly positive and Hölder continuous, \(q \in (0,1)\), and \(\mathbf{u}^\pm = (u_1^\pm, \dots, u_m^\pm)\) with no prescribed boundary conditions. In particular, it is proved that the set of so-called regular points of the free boundary \(\Gamma(\mathbf{u}):= \partial \{|\mathbf{u}|>0\} \cap \{|\nabla \mathbf{u}|=0\}\) is locally a \(C^{1,\beta}\)-manifold. In order to show that, the authors develop approaches of the work [\textit{J. Andersson} et al., Adv. Math. 280, 743--771 (2015; Zbl 1319.35306)], where related results were obtained in the case \(q=0\).
