This paper focuses on the use of some group actions to describe the structure of the cluster category of a triangulated punctured surface. The procedures allow the authors building an unpunctured surface \((\widetilde{\Sigma},\widetilde{\mathcal{M}})\) from certain triangulation \(\tau\) of a punctured surface \((\Sigma,M,\mathcal{P})\). A triangulation \(\widetilde{\tau}\) and some triangle functors between categories \(\mathcal{C}_{\tau}\) and \(\mathcal{C}_{\widetilde{\tau}}\) are also constructed. The construction of such functors is based on previous works of Reiten and Riedtmann who established interactions between the categories \(\bmod\Lambda\) and \(\bmod\Lambda G\), where \(\Lambda\) is an algebra and \(\Lambda G\) is a skew group algebra. This procedure is adapted for the authors in the case when \(G\sim \mathbb{Z}_{2}\) acts on a quiver with potential \((Q,s)\). The group acts on the corresponding Ginzburg \(dg\)-algebra so it is possible to prove that the skew group \(dg\)-algebra is Morita equivalent to the Ginzburg \(dg\)-algebra of a quiver with potential \((Q_{G},s_{G})\). According to the authors, the construction of \((\widetilde{\Sigma},\widetilde{\mathcal{M}})\) can be seen as a generalization of the Fomin and Zelevinsky works regarding the use of pairs of diagonals of a \(2n\)-gon to build cluster algebras of type \(\mathbb{D}_{n}\). A suitable bijection \(\widetilde{\Sigma}/\sigma\to \Sigma\) allows recovering \((\Sigma,M,\mathcal{P})\) from \((\widetilde{\Sigma},\widetilde{\mathcal{M}},\sigma)\) giving, in this fashion, a structure of orbifold to the surface \(\Sigma\) and a complete description of indecomposable objects of \(\mathcal{C}_{\tau}\) in terms of the orbifold fundamental groupoid of \(\Sigma\). Section 1 gives some preliminaries regarding the skew group algebra \(\overline{e}\Lambda G\overline{e}\) and some of its properties. These results are extended to differential graded algebras in Section 2. In Section 3, the authors provide a detailed construction of a branched covering \(p:\widetilde{\Sigma}\to \Sigma\) giving an alternative topological structure of \(\widetilde{\Sigma}\). Section 4 is devoted to obtain a complete description of the objects of the category \(\mathcal{C}_{\tau}\). \(\widetilde{\Sigma}\)-string and \(\widetilde{\Sigma}\)-band objects are defined via a suitable triangle functor \(F':\mathcal{C}_{\tau}\to \mathcal{C}_{\tau}\) commuting with the action of \(\sigma\). In Section 5, it is defined the fundamental groupoid and a complete description of the \(\widetilde{\Sigma}\)-string and bands objects are given. It is also proved that the covering \(p: \widetilde{\Sigma}\to{\Sigma}\) given by an action of an involution \(\sigma\) on \(\widetilde{\Sigma}\) defines an autoequivalence \(\sigma:\pi_{1}(\widetilde{\Sigma}, \widetilde{\mathcal{M}})\to \pi_{1}(\widetilde{\Sigma}, \widetilde{\mathcal{M}})\), and a functor \(\Phi\mid_{\widetilde{\mathcal{M}}}: \pi_{1}(\widetilde{\Sigma}, \widetilde{\mathcal{M}})\to \pi^{orb}_{1}({\Sigma}, {\mathcal{M}})\). In Section 6, the authors provide examples of all the developed constructions.
