Let \(K\) be a field of characteristic zero and \(B=B_0\oplus B_1\) a finite dimensional associative superalgebra. The authors investigate the polynomial identities of the relatively free algebras of finite rank of the variety \(\mathcal{B}\) defined by the Grassmann envelope \(G(B)\). The authors also consider the \(k\)-th Grassmann envelope \(G^{(k)}(B)\), constructed using the \(k\)-generated Grassmann algebra \(G_k\), instead of infinite dimensional Grassmann algebra \(G\). The study specializes for the algebras \(UT_2(G)\) and \(UT_2(G^{(k)})\), which can be seen as the Grassmann envelope and \(k\)-th Grassmann envelope, respectively, of the superalgebra \(UT_2(K[u])\), where \(u^2=1\). \par The authors in particular show that in the case \(B=UT_2(G)\) the \(T\)-ideal of the free algebra of finite rank \(T(F_k(B))\) is different from the \(T\)-ideal \(T(G^{k}(B))\). For the entire collection see [Zbl 1461.16003].
