In this interesting manuscript, the authors investigate the existence of solutions of a system of second order ordinary differential equations of the type \[ u_i''= f_i(t, u_1 ,\ldots, u_k ),\ u_i'(0)=\alpha_i[u_i],\ u_i'(0)=\beta_i[u_i],\ i=1,\ldots k, \tag{1}\] where \(\alpha_i, \beta_i\) are continuous linear functionals given by Riemann-Stieltjes integrals. The authors provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution in the resonance case. The methodology involves the celebrated Mawhin continuation theorem combined with some assumptions of Nirenberg-type on the nonlinearities. The theoretical results are illustrated by means of an example. Some remarks on some particular Neumann problems related to the system (1) are also presented in the last section of the paper.
