    The author studies the problem of instability of a two-dimensional linear system of ordinary differential equations with a parameter \(\mu\): \[ x' = A_\mu(t) x, \ x \in \mathbb{R}^2, \quad t \ge 0. \tag{1} \] He proves that there exists a value of \(\mu\) such that under some conditions on \(A_\mu(t)\) the system (1) is unstable.
