Numerical radius inequalities for nonlinear operators in Hilbert spaces (Q2675947): Difference between revisions

There are at least two versions of numerical range for nonlinear operators in Hilbert spaces in the literature, one was introduced by \textit{E. H. Zarantonello} [Bull. Am. Math. Soc. 70, 781--787 (1964; Zbl 0137.32501)], another one was by \textit{M. Furi} et al. [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. (4) 118, 229--294 (1978; Zbl 0409.47043)]. Their numerical radii are similarly defined. These numerical ranges and their numerical radii of nonlinear operators have been studied by many mathematicians. The paper under review continues this line of study: extending classical results for the numerical range and numerical radius of linear operators to those of nonlinear operators. Special attention is given to numerical radius inequalities for nonlinear operator matrices.
