Dual pair correspondence is a powerful tool in representation theory. One of the first important things one wishes to know about this correspondence is the behavior of the infinitesimal characters of corresponding representations. The paper under review determines the infinitesimal character correspondence for most dual pairs in simple Lie groups including exceptional Lie groups.
