[Tricolore is French and means 3-colored.] The authors continue the study of colored designs introduced by \textit{A. Bonnecaze, E. Rains}, and \textit{P. Solé} [J. Stat. Plann. Inference 86, 349-368 (2000; Zbl 0974.05009)]. It is shown that 3-colored 3-designs occur in the extended ternary Golay code and in extremal ternary self-dual codes of length 24 containing the all-one word. Unfortunately, the authors do not elaborate on the connection between the studied objects and similar structures that have been studied in design theory.
