Ranges of vector measures in Fréchet spaces (Q5935881): Difference between revisions

The authors characterize these Fréchet spaces \(E\) such that every compact subset of \(E\) is contained in the range of an \(E\)-valued measure of bounded variation, and those Fréchet spaces such that every compact subset of \(E\) is contained in the range of a measure of bounded variation with values in some Fréchet space containing \(E\) as subspace. This generalizes results of \textit{C. Piñeiro} and \textit{L. Rodríguez-Piazza} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 114, No. 2, 505-517 (1992; Zbl 0744.28007)] and \textit{C. Piñeiro} [ibid. 123, No. 11, 3329-3334 (1995; Zbl 0851.46032)], where such characterizations are obtained in the case of \(E\) being a Banach space.
