The authors consider a slightly restricted class of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy controllers: two input variables with at least three trapezoidal values each, and with linear outputs of the control rules. They determine the analytical form of the corresponding control function, show that those fuzzy controllers correspond to PI or PD controllers with variable gains, and give a BIBO type stability result.
