The author shows that two commuting elements in the \(q\)-deformed Heisenberg algebra (this algebra is generated by \(A\), \(B\), subject to the relation \(AB=qBA+1\)) are algebraically dependent. More details about this can be found in [the author and \textit{S. D. Silvestrov}, Computing elements in \(q\)-deformed Heisenberg algebras. World Scientific, Singapore (2000; Zbl 0956.17006)]. See also the reviewer's paper [AMA, Algebra Montp. Announc. 2001, No. 1, Paper No. 2 (electronic) (2001; Zbl 0981.16025)] for a generalization of this result in the context of generalized Weyl algebras and a simplification of the proof.
