The idea behind this work is how to extend possible parametrization of the orthogonal group \(\text{SO}(4,\mathbb{C})\) and its double covering to larger orthogonal and unitary groups. The present work deals with the parametrization of \(4\times 4\) matrices of the complex linear group \(\text{GL}(4,\mathbb{C})\), decomposed into 16 Dirac matrices, in terms of four complex 4-vector parameters \((k,m,n,l)\). It particularly resolves the question of distinguishing, within Dirac parametrization, \(\text{SU}(3)\) as a subgroup of \(\text{SU}(4)\) and specifies this approach for pseudounitary groups \(\text{SU}(2,2)\) and \(\text{SU}(3,1)\) whose generators are constructed on the basis of the known Dirac generators of \(\text{SU}(4)\).
