Si le tore totalement réel \(T\), à 2 dimensions et de classe \({\mathcal C}^\infty\), est contenu dans la frontière d'un domaine \(D\) de \(\mathbb{C}^2\), strictement convexe et de frontière \({\mathcal C}^\infty\), il existe une application continue \(f\) du disque unité fermé dans \(\mathbb{C}^2\) telle que \(|z|< 1\) entraîne \(f(z) \in D\) et \(|z|=1\) entraîne \(f(z) \in T\). La preuve repose sur un procédé proposé par \textit{M. Gromov} [Invent. Math. 82, 307-347 (1985; Zbl 0592.53025)] pour la construction de tels disques holomorphes; elle subsiste d'ailleurs pour certains domaines non strictement convexes, par exemple les domaines de Hartogs de la forme \(\{(z_1, z_2) \in \mathbb{C}^2 : |z_1|^2 + \psi(z_2) < 0\}\) où \(\psi\) est strictement plurisousharmonique.
