On products of conjugacy classes of the symmetric group (Q909779): Difference between revisions

This paper is devoted to the derivation of combinatorial rules for the problem mentioned in the title, and in particular to the decomposition of the product of the class of cycles of length n in \(S_ n\) with itself. It uses the standard methods, i.e. hook characters and expressions of their values in terms of binomial coefficients.
