The author proves the nonexistence of periodic peaked traveling solutions to the rotation \(\mu\)-Camassa-Holm equation \(m_{t}+um_{x}+2u_{x}m+cu_{x}-\frac{\beta_{0}}{\beta}u_{xxx}+\frac{w_{1}}{\alpha^{2}}u^{2}u_{x}+\frac{w_{2}}{\alpha ^{3}}u^{3}u_{x}=0\), where \(m=\mu(u)-u_{xx}\), \(\mu(u)=\int_{\mathbb{S}}u(t,x)dx\), \(\mathbb{S}=\mathbb{R}/\mathbb{Z}\) denoting the unit circle on \(\mathbb{R}^{2}\). Here \(c=\sqrt{1+\Omega^{2}}-\Omega\), where \(\Omega\) is the constant rotational frequency due to the Coriolis effect and the other constants are given expressions in terms of \(c\). The main result of the paper proves that if \(\Omega\neq 0\) there is no any nonzero periodic peaked traveling wave solution to this equation in the form \(u(t,x)=a(\kappa,t)\{\frac{1}{2}(x-\kappa t-[x-\kappa t]-\frac{1}{2})^{2}+\frac{23}{24}\}\), where \(\kappa\in\mathbb{R}\) and \(a(\kappa,t)\in C(\mathbb{R}\times\lbrack 0,T))\). For the proof, the author first defines the notion of weak solution to an initial-valued problem associated to this equation. He proceeds by contradiction and finally obtains a trivial solution to the initial-valued problem associated to the above equation.
