The authors give equivalent definitions of the wave front set \(WF(u)\) and Sobolev wave front set \(WF_s(u)\), \(u\in D^\prime(\mathbb{R}^n)\), of Hörmander. Namemy, the equivalent definitions are given in terms of the short time Fourier transform \(V_gu(x,\eta)\) with window \(g\in D(\mathbb{R}^n)\). For \(u\in L^1_{\text{loc}} (\mathbb{R}^n)\) we recall the definition \[V_gu(x,\eta)=\int\exp(-it\eta) u(t)\overline{g(t-x)}dt.\] As related contribution we mention \textit{S. Pilipovic} et al. [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 17, No. 3, 374--407 (2011; Zbl 1231.35329)].
