Ultrametricity in spin glasses (Q6118126): Difference between revisions

Summary: Ultrametricity of the Gibbs measure is a fundamental feature of the Parisi solution of the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model of spin glasses. We will start by describing one origin of ultrametricity in a way that requires no special knowledge, and after that review some background and discuss some applications.
