Let $(M,g)$ be a Riemannian manifold, let $K$ be the sectional curvature, and let $\tilde g=e^{2f}g$ be a conformal deformation. If $f$ is a convex function, then $\tilde K\le e^{-2f}K$. The authors generalize this to the $\text{CAT}(0)$ spaces which are singular analogues of Hadamard spaces. Let $f$ be a continuous function on a length space $X$. Stretch the lengths of curves according to the weight $e^f$ to define a conformally equivalent length space $e^fX$. The authors show: \par Theorem. Let $X$ be a $\text{CAT}(0)$ space. Let $f$ be a continuous function on $X$ which is convex and bounded from below. Then the conformally equivalent space $e^fX$ is again $\text{CAT}(0)$. \par The proof of this result relies on the theory of minimal surfaces in metric spaces and on Reshetnyak's majorization theorem.
