A bi-Hamiltonian structure is a pair of Poisson structures \(P\) and \(Q\) such that their linear combination \(aP+bQ\) is also a Poisson structure. The bi-Hamiltonian structure is flat if both \(P\) and \(Q\) can be simultaneously transformed to constant forms in a neighborhood of a generic point. The main result of the paper is providing a necessary and sufficient condition for the bi-Hamiltonian structure to be flat on an odd-dimensional manifold. The author proves that the bi-Hamiltonian structure is flat if and only if there exists a density that is preserved by Hamiltonian vector fields both with respect to \(P\) and with respect to \(Q\).
