The authors analyze the consequences of a presence of the populations mobility and the interaction between subspecies distributed within some spatial interval. This leads to the inclusion of Laplacian terms and the interactions stated as integrals describing spatially distributed competition and predator-prey interactions. The principal result consists of the classification of system's parameters, which results in the coexistence of species or in the extinction of one of them. Apart of pure mathematical interests to steady-states and asymptotic time evolutions of integro-differential equations, the obtained results provide some basis for further discussion concerning a formation of ecological niches.
