Several aspects of the mod-\(p\) representation theory of unitary groups have already been considered by \textit{R. Abdellatif} [Autour des répresentations modulo \(p\) des groupes réductifs \(p\)-adiques de rang 1. Paris: Université Paris-Sud (PhD Thesis) (2011)], and by the author and \textit{P. Xu} [Represent. Theory 19, 56--93 (2015; Zbl 1315.22021)]. These representations are the ones which are expected to play a central role in the potential local Langlands correspondence.
