Using the notion of geometric calculus, a difference sequence space is considered. Several basic definitions such as generator, \(\alpha\)-generator, \(\alpha\)-arithmetic, etc., with examples from geometric calculus are given. The set of geometric real numbers is denoted by \(\mathbb{R}(G)\) and defined by \[ \mathbb{R}(G)=\{e^{x}: x\in \mathbb{R}\}=\mathbb{R}^{+} \backslash\{0\}. \] Note that if the extended real number line is considered, then \(\mathbb{R}(G)\) becomes \([0, \infty]\). Further, \(\omega(G)\) denotes the spaces of all sequences of geometric real numbers, that is, \[ \omega(G)=\{(x_k): x_k\in \mathbb{R}(G) \text{ for all } k\in \mathbb{N}\}. \] Then the authors introduce the geometric sequence space \[ l_\infty({\Delta_G})=\Big\{x=(x_k)\in \omega(G): \Delta_Gx=(x_k\ominus x_{k+1})\in l_\infty(G)\Big\}, \] equipped with the norm \(\|\cdot\|_{\Delta^G}^G\), where \[ \|x\|_{\Delta^G}^G=|x_1|^G\oplus \|\Delta^Gx\|_\infty^G \] and \[ l_\infty({G})=\Big\{x=(x_k)\in \omega(G): \displaystyle\sup_{k\in \mathbb{N}}|x_k|^G<\infty\Big\} \] induced by the norm \(\|x\|_\infty^G=\displaystyle\sup_k|x_k|^G\). It is proved that \(l_\infty({\Delta_G})\) is a Banach space and the authors obtain \(\alpha\)-, \(\beta\)- and \(\gamma\)-duals of this space. Moreover, using the concept of geometric difference operators, the authors establish the geometric Newton-Gregory interpolation formula. Some numerical problems are solved using this new formula. | |||
