On a spin Kähler manifold, a Kählerian twistor spinor is a section of a (sub)bundle of the spin bundle which is in the kernel of a first-order differential operator called Penrose operator or Kählerien twistor operator. The author studies such spinors and classifies the compact simply connected Kähler spin manifolds with constant scalar curvature which admit non-parallel and nonzero Kählerian twistor spinors. The main result states that such a manifold \(M\) is a direct product of a Ricci-flat manifold \(M_1\) and a Kähler-Einstein manifold \(M_2\) of odd dimension. Moreover, \(M_2\) is a limiting manifold for the first positive eigenvalue estimate of the Dirac operator given in [\textit{K.-D. Kirchberg}, ``An estimation for the first eigenvalue of the Dirac operator on closed Kähler manifolds of positive scalar curvature'', Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 4, 291--325 (1986; Zbl 0629.53058)]. Any such manifold is either the complex projective space \(\mathbb C\mathbb P^n\) for \(n=4k+1\) or a twistor space over a quaternionic Kähler manifold of positive scalar curvature if \(n=4k+3\). It is an open question whether all positive quaternionic Kähler manifolds are Riemannian symmetric spaces. It is also noticed that the existence of a Kählerian twistor spinor leads to the existence of a special anti-holomorphic or holomorphic Kähler twistor spinor constructed from a parallel spinor on \(M_1\) and an anti-holomorphic or holomorphic Kählerian twistor spinor on \(M_2\). The proof uses the fact that the Kählerian twistor spinor leads to the existence of a connection on a larger vector bundle admitting a parallel section which can be constructed explicitly. Then, a parallel section is also in the kernel of the curvature operator of this connection. This and the properties of the Kählerian twistor spinors lead to the fact that the Ricci tensor is parallel with respect to the Levi-Civita connection and has precisely two constant nonegative eigenvalues. A result from [\textit{V. Apostolov, T. Drăghici} and \textit{A. Moroianu}, ``A splitting theorem for Kähler manifolds whose Ricci tensors have constant eigenvalues'', Int. J. Math. 12, No.~7, 769--789 (2001; Zbl 1111.53303)] leads to the structure theorem for \(M\). | |||
