Let \(M\) be a Liouville manifold, and let \({\mathcal W}\) be a finite collection of objects of its wrapped Fukaya category. The Lagrangians are exact and are modeled after a Legendrian at infinity. In this paper, the author defines a map \(H^*({\mathcal{OC}}):HH_*({\mathcal{W,W}})\to SH^*(M)\), where \(SH^*(M)\) is the symplectic cohomology and \(HH_*\) is the Hochschild homology. The symplectic cohomology admits a canonical class called the identity which is the image of the identity in the ordinary cohomology of \(M\) under the natural map \(H^*(M)\to SH^*(M)\). The generation criterion theorem states that, if the identity lies in the image of the composition \(HH_*({\mathcal{B,B}})\to HH_*({\mathcal{W,W}})\to SH^*(M)\) for a full subcategory \({\mathcal B}\), then the objects of \({\mathcal B}\) split-generate \({\mathcal W}\). In proving this property, the author uses the construction of operations on the Fukaya category controlled by discs with two outputs and the Cardy relation.
