In the present article, the main attention is paid to a ``multifractal packing function and its projection onto a lower-dimensional linear subspace for \(q > 1\)''. A notion of the multifractal formalism introduced by \textit{T. C. O'Neil} [Chaos Solitons Fractals 11, No. 6, 901--921 (2000; Zbl 0956.28006)], is described. A survey on mathematical objects used in this paper is given and an analysis of these notions with analogies used in researches of other authors is also given. Approaches and techniques used to prove the results of this paper are explained and several intermediate results are proven, and some auxiliary notions are introduced. One can summarize by author's abstract: ``The aim of this article is to study the behavior of the multifractal packing function \(B_{\mu}(q)\) under projections in Euclidean space for \(q > 1\). We show that \(B_{\mu}(q)\) is preserved under almost every orthogonal projection. As an application, we study the multifractal analysis of the projections of a measure. In particular, we obtain general results for the multifractal analysis of the orthogonal projections on \(m\)-dimensional linear subspaces of a measure \(\mu\) satisfying the multifractal formalism.''
