In the early 70's Mandelbrot introduced the so-called Mandelbrot measures as a simplified model for energy dissipitation in intermittent turbulance. He initially studied the geometric properties of this measure. Mandelbrot measures along with self-similar measures and Gibbs measures are typical objects describing the multifractal formalism and are also excellent tools for the geometrical description of the distribution of a measure at small scales. The authors of the present paper study the multifractal structure of the orthogonal projections of a Mandelbrot measure \(\mu\) on the horizontal and vertical axes and its relationship with that of \(\mu\). The authors' main work is on the symbolic space \(\{0,\ldots, m-1\}^{\mathbb{N}}\times\{0,\ldots, m-1\}^{\mathbb{N}}\).
