    The author studies uniqueness properties of solutions of higher order nonlinear dispersive equations. The main result of this note is the following theorem. Let \(u_1, u_2 \in C([0,1]:H^6 \cap L^2(\left| x \right| ^2dx))\) with \(\partial_x u_1, \partial_x u_2 \in C([0,1]: L^2(\left| x \right| ^2dx))\) be solutions of \[ \partial_t u + \partial_x^5 u + 10u\partial_x^3 u + 20\partial_x u\partial_x^2 u + 30u^2\partial_x u = 0 \] in \((x,t) \in \text{ R}\times [0,1]\). If there exists an \(\varepsilon > 0\) such that \[ u_1 (\cdot,0) - u_2 (\cdot,0), \quad u_1 (\cdot,1) - u_2 (\cdot,1) \in H^2(e^{\lambda x_ + ^{4 / 3 + \varepsilon } }\,dx) \] for all \(\lambda > 0\), where \(x_+ = \max \{x;0\}\), then \(u_1 \equiv u_2\).
