In the paper, the authors focus on two types of local moves for link diagrams: the \(SH(3)\)-move and coherent band surgery. The \(SH(3)\)-move is a local change on an oriented knot diagram that involves three strands. This move is an unknotting operation, and one can define the \(SH(3)\)-Gordian distance between two knots and the \(SH(3)\)-unknotting number for a knot. The coherent band surgery transforms a link into another link. One can define the coherent band-Gordian distance between two links and the coherent band-unknotting number of a link. For two knots, \(SH(3)\)-Gordian distance is half the coherent band-Gordian distance. In previous work, Kanenobu gave the \(SH(3)\)-unknotting numbers for knots up to nine crossings. Work of Buck and Ishihara has explored the coherent band-Gordian distances for links of up to six crossings. In this paper, the authors find \(SH(3)\)-Gordian distances between knots with up to seven crossings, which allows them to list knots of up to seven crossings with coherent band-Gordian distance one.
