The aim of this paper is to present some facts about the construction of constant mean curvature (CMC) hypersurfaces in a closed manifold. From the table of contents: Geometric measure theory, maximum principle (m.p.) for embedded \(c\)-hypersurfaces, m.p. manifolds with \(c\)-bounded fixed variation, the \(c\)-min-max construction, existence of nontrivial sweepouts, \(c\)-almost minimizing, existence of \(c\)-almost minimizing, CMC hypersurface of any given mean curvature \(c\). In the minimum case, \(c=0\), one shows that for a tightened sequence, any min-max varifold limit must be stationary. Let \(\{\Omega^i_{X_i}:X_i\in(0,1),i\in\mathbb{N}\}\) be some min-max sequence. The authors prove some interesting results. An example is given by the following Theorem: ``For \(c>0\), the sequence \(\partial\Omega^i_{X_i}\) converges as varifolds with multiplicity one to a nontrivial, smooth, closed, almost hypersurface of constant mean curvature \(c\)''. The presentation of the results is clear. The methods have been incorporate in the work and discussed. Finally the authors present the regularity for \(c\)-min-max varifolds and four appendices.
