A curve \(\gamma: I\to M\). \(M\) a smooth manifold with a Lorentz metric \(g\) (spacetime) is said to be a closed timelike curve (CTC) if \(\gamma'(t)\) is a timelike vector foe all \(t\) and \(\gamma(t_1)=\gamma(t_2)\), for some \(t_1<t_2\). The Deutsch-CTC (D-CTC) condition is an analogue for quantum process in the presence of CTCs. It is proposed as a condition on states of a quantum communication network that contains ``backward time steps'' in some of its branches [\textit{D. Deutsch}, ``Quantum mechanics near closed timelike lines'', Phys. Rev. D 44, No. 10, 3197--3217 (1991; \url{doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.44.3197})]. TCs are absent if \((M,g)\) is globally hyperbolic [\textit{R. M. Wald}, General relativity. Chicago-London: The University of Chicago Press (1984; Zbl 0549.53001)]. In this paper, the D-CTC condition is investigated in the flamework of quantum filed theory in the local, operator theoretic approach due to \textit{R. Haag} [Local quantum physics. Fields, particles, algebras. 2nd., rev. and enlarged ed. Berlin: Springer-Verlag (1996; Zbl 0857.46057)]. D-CTC condition is given as (1.1) and in alterating form as (1.5), which is mainly used in later discussions), and obtain complimentary results on the realizing the D-CTC condition in quantum field theory (\S3. Prop.1, 2 and 3). Prop.1 severely constrains the possibility of finding solutions to the D-CTC condition within the framework of localized subsystems in stationary globally hyperbolic spacetime. Taking the point of view that a prime distinguished feature of quantum phyiscs as opposed to classical physics consists in entangled states between acausally related parts and therefore D-CTC states \(\tilde{\omega}\) should satisfy the Reeh-Schlieder property ([\textit{H. Rech} and \textit{S. Schlieder}, Nuovo Cimento, X. Ser. 22, 1051--1068 (1961; Zbl 0101.22402)], cf. \S2.4), then Prop.2 can be viewed as an obstacle for that the expectation to ever become realized, as long as the correlations in \(\tilde{\omega}\) and \(\tilde{\omega}(U^\ast, U)\) stay comparable.(cf.\S1 (I)). On the other hand, Prop.3 states that whatever \(U\) and the partial state \(\omega_A\), approximate solution state to the D-CTC condition can always be obtained in quantum field theory on globally hyperbolic spacetimes (cf. \S1, (II)). In \S2, quantum field theory on spacetime in the operator algebraic setting, is reviewed as preliminaries. \S4 proposed a construction of the real, massless Klein-Gordan field on the Politzer spacetime ([\textit{H. D. Politzer}, ``Simple quantum systems with closed timelike curves'', Phys. Rev. D46, 4470--4476 (1992; \url{doi:10.1103/PhysRevD.46.4470})] cf.\S1) in the framework according to Haag-Kastler. The authors say this is th first construction of a quantum field theory on the Politzer spacetime. After giving the conclusion (\S5), the existence a state on \(\mathsf{B}(\mathcal H)\), for an infinite dimensional separable Hilbert space \(\mathcal H\), which is not given by a density matrix but arises as a weak-\(\ast\) limit of density matrix, is shown in Appendix. (Authors say this is well known, but hard to search in literature).
