It is known that there exist several ways for constructing hierarchies of the Painlevé equations. In this paper, the authors take a hierarchy of the fourth Painlevé equation studied by \textit{N. A. Kudryashov} [Theor. Math. Phys. 134, No. 1, 86--93 (2003; Zbl 1109.34344); translation from Teor. Mat. Fiz. 134, No. 1, 101--109 (2003)], which is a fourth order nonlinear ordinary differential equation. The authors show the convergence of power series solutions of the Painlevé hierarchy around the origin. There are many types of power series solutions, depending on the complex parameters of the Painlevé hierarchy. They study the Gevrey orders by means of Newton diagrams.
